MFN is hosting a Feminist Gathering on 7th May at Friends Meeting House in Manchester, it’s open to all women. There will be a variety of topics and workshops including African Dance, body image and self esteem, choosing to be childfree, arts and crafts and women in the media; AWOL (angry women of liverpool) will be covering Women and the Cuts and Demand Change will be dealing with prostitution.
Getting to know other feminist women has been one the best things about MFN so we want to provide an opportunity for this at women up north. The setting will informal, with plenty of time for tea, cakes and a chat. It will also be a brilliant opportunity for women to find out about planned actions, demos and campaigns from MFN and linked groups such as Demand Change. We will be providing a crèche, please get in touch if you are planning on using it.
Come and find out more about MFN and we always want to hear from women with different interests and experiences.

please send me updates and also would like to attend 7th May, is the venue wheelchair accessible?
I will be travelling from Scotland.
Thanks
Hi Catherine,
Wow, we are flattered that you are coming so far! Yes, Friends Meeting House is wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately, due to extreme difficulties in finding an accessible, available and affordable venue to hire for socialising afterwards we have ended up hiring the room above a pub which is upstairs. It does however have a downstairs that we can’t hire exclusively but that women could use. We just ran out of money and options although I appreciate that this is far from ideal.
